NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Tuesday in honour of Vijayadashami that India worships its weaponry for self-defense rather than to subjugate other nations. There’s also the tradition of ‘Shastra Puja‘ on Vijayadashami. Weapons are venerated in India, although not so much to rule over other lands as to defend their own. Speaking to the audience at the Dwarka Sri Ram Leela Society at DDA ground in Sector 10 of the national capital, Prime Minister Modi stated, “Our Shakti Puja is not just for us but for the welfare of the entire world.”The PM mentioned that the nation is celebrating Dussehra after nearly two months of the Moon mission, citing the success of the Chandrayaan-3 mission. India became the first nation to land a spacecraft on the moon when the Chandrayaan-3 lander, named “Vikram,” landed on August 23 in the South Pole, marking the end of a 40-day mission. I’m wishing a very happy Navratri and Vijayadashami to all of my countrymen. The celebration represents the triumph of virtue over evil. We are commemorating Vijayadashami this year, marking two months since we defeated the Moon. We are capable of building INS Vikrant and Tejas, and we are aware of Gita’s knowledge,” the PM declared.PM Modi went on to say that the nation’s citizens understand the value of Lord Ram and how to guard the country’s borders. We are lucky to be able to witness the construction of the largest temple dedicated to Lord Rama today. The globe will be filled with delight on the next Ramnavami in Ayodhya, with every tune resonating in Ramlala’s temple. Lord Ram will only be residing in the Ram Temple for a few more months,” he continued.
