SAMBA: Anand Jain, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for the Jammu Zone, gave officers in the Samba district severe orders to take action against drug providers and traffickers on Tuesday. Jain inspected the district’s security measures, crime statistics, and public grievance redressal on his first visit to Samba after taking over as police chief of the Jammu Zone. According to a police spokeswoman, he also presided over a crime review meeting and gave orders to officials to take harsh action against all drug sellers and smugglers in order to eliminate any remaining heroin threats from the district as soon as possible.The spokesperson stated that all divisional police officers (SDPOs), station house officers (SHOs), and police post incharges were instructed to thoroughly investigate drug cases and discover the connections between smugglers in order to ensure that no drug trafficker or conspirator escapes punishment. He gave instructions to police officers and staff to adopt a people-friendly approach and provide the public with sincere and devoted service.
