BULANDSHAHR (UP) : Devender Singh Rana today said the hallmark of Prime Minister Narendra Modi‘s nine-year government has been welfare and uplift of the poor, with special focus on women and marginalized segments of the society.”BJP‘s endeavour to reach out to the last person in the society has been guiding philosophy for the Modi government during the past nine years,” Rana remarked in Siyana, India, amid his busy schedule of outreach as part of the BJP’s Jan Abhiyan.Rana provided a thorough summary of several of the several programmes designed to aid the poor to support his argument, including the Ujjwala Yojna, which has given out over 9.60 free LPG connections to families living below the poverty line. In a same vein, he said that the Pradhan Mantri Street Vendor Atmanirbhar Nidhi scheme had significantly assisted the street vendors in resuming their livelihood, particularly after being negatively affected by the Covi virus outbreak. The senior BJP politician also mentioned the PM Jan Arogya Yojna, or PMJAY, which was created to give needy households Rs. 5 lakhs per family per year for free, high-quality healthcare treatments. The Ayushman Bharat Health Insurance Scheme has so far helped 50 crore people. According to him, the programme covers all residents of Jammu and Kashmir, regardless of their economic standing.Similar to this, he mentioned the Jal Jeewan Mission and stated that since the program’s commencement, 60% of households had access to safe drinking water. He claimed that 80 crore people had benefited from foodgrains under the PM Garib Kalyan Ann Yojna, citing numerous programmes. Rana also mentioned the major social security programmes that have greatly helped the targeted groups of the population, including the Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and the Atal Pension Yojana (APY).Rana referred to the launch of the National Mission for Financial Inclusion, which had as its stated goal to guarantee that every Indian citizen has access to banking facilities, financial literacy, and social security coverage. Rana recalled the vision behind the Jan Suraksha schemes way back in 2015, just a year after taking over the government. He claimed that India is possibly the only country where a large population opened bank accounts in a record amount of time.He added that the Jan Suraksha Schemes aim at the well-being of citizens and recognise the importance of protecting human life against unforeseen risks, losses, and financial uncertainties, noting that the digital transactions have become popular with the lowest strata of society, including even vendors. According to Rana, these programmes also offer crucial financial services to people from disadvantaged backgrounds, hence lowering their financial vulnerability. As part of the Sampark Se Samarthan Programme, Rana also spoke at beneficiaries conferences in Jahangirabad and Debai and visited Pardada Pardadi School in Anoopshahr.
