JAMMU: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Thursday said Jammu and Kashmir holds immense potential for a dynamic and prosperous future, stressing that the vision depends largely on the role of the younger generation.

Speaking at the Navreh celebrations organised by Kashmiri Pandit Sabha at Amphalla in Jammu, the Lieutenant Governor expressed hope that youth would draw inspiration from the wisdom of their ancestors and work with determination to transform the Union Territory into one of the country’s developed regions.

He invoked the blessings of Maa Sharika and extended greetings, wishing that the New Year brings renewed hope, prosperity, and well-being for all. Interacting with devotees, he described Navreh and Navratri as symbols of an inner spiritual journey marked by discipline, prayer, and transformation.

Highlighting India’s spiritual traditions, the Lieutenant Governor spoke about the four stages of devotion—listening, contemplation, internalisation, and attaining samadhi—and expressed hope that devotees experience these stages in life. He also emphasised the importance of preserving and strengthening connections with the region’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.

“Youth will not merely inherit India’s legacy but will reshape it and drive it towards a developed and sustainable future,” he said.

On the occasion, the Lieutenant Governor felicitated Brij Lal Bhat. Several dignitaries, including members of the Kashmiri Pandit Sabha, senior officials, and prominent citizens, were present during the celebrations.
