BDO Suspended Over Alleged Misconduct In Pulwama; Inquiry Ordered

Srinagar, Mar 19: The Directorate of Rural Development Kashmir has placed a Panchayat Inspector presently Block Development officer under suspension pending inquiry into alleged misconduct.
According to an order Mst. Layla Khalid, Panchayat Inspector presently holding the charge of Block Development Officer (BDO) Newa, has been suspended with immediate effect. She has been attached to the office of Assistant Commissioner Panchayat Ganderbal during the suspension period.
The order further states that Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama shall hold the charge of BDO Newa in addition to his own duties till further orders.
Meanwhile, the Assistant Commissioner Development Pulwama has been directed to conduct an in-depth inquiry into the matter and submit a detailed report along with recommendations within 15 days to the Directorate.
