JAMMU, Nov 27: Much awaited Udhampur-Pathankot DMU and Shri Shakti Express between Katra and New Delhi among four trains are all set to resume operations from December 1, 2025.These trains are being operated in the seventh phase, following the resumption of six phases of trains, thus further normalizing the train traffic in Jammu division, which was completely paralyzed on August 26 after damage to railway bridges and track due to .continuous rains and water logging in the region.
The trains resuming operations under seventh phase, are ; Train No. 14662 (Jammu Tawi – Barmer), being re-operated from 01.12.2025; Train No. 22462 (Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra – New Delhi), resuming operations from 01.12.2025; Train No. 74907 Pathankot – Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan), being re-operated from 01.12.25 and Train No. 74906 (Shaheed Captain Tushar Mahajan – Pathankot), being re-operated from 02.12.2025.
While sharing the information on resumption of the trains, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Uchit Singhal, said that these trains are being reinstated after ensuring the safety and continuity of the railway tracks.
“Train operations in the division are gradually being normalized going forward as divisional officials are periodically reviewing various sections and ensuring train safety. Trains are being re-instated from time to time and in this regard, some trains will resume operations in the seventh phase from the Jammu Division,” he said.
Pertinent to mention that due to continuous rains and waterlogging in the Jammu region a few months ago, many trains had to be cancelled and some had to be terminated before their destination.
So far, more than eighty percent trains have resumed their normal operations.
