SRINAGAR, Oct 2: The Special Director General (CID) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police, RR Swain, stated on Monday that the police are doing all possible to eradicate fear from the common man’s heart and head, while the fight against those who advocate violence is only for the general public. Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a massive marathon that the J&K police had staged, the special DG (CID) claimed that the J&K police were discreetly against an enemy that had been “organised” with the aid of outside support and influence. “The J&K police have the extra courage needed to combat those individuals who advocate violence. The difficulties the J&K police are facing are very different from those other forces are dealing with, he said. “We are fighting this war discreetly and without fanfare on behalf of the average person who is seated in a remote village. We are fighting for an ordinary citizen who respects and upholds the law, as well as a little farmer, lawyer, journalist, and Khateeb. Participants from Kashmir, Jammu, and other regions of the nation participated in a major marathon that the J&K police had organised. Gandhi Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the nation’s father, fell on the same day as the event.Gandhi always encouraged non-violence, according to the top police officer. We will need to distinguish between those who value peace and those whose ultimate goal is violence, according to Swain. Therefore, we are fighting those who project violence. Our effort is for the entire public, and we are working to eradicate fear from the hearts and minds of everyday people, according to Swain.
