Northern Railway today issued a comprehensive list of long-term cancellations, short terminations, and partial restorations affecting major routes connected to Jammu, Katra and Udhampur.
According to Uchit Singhal, Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, 22 trains will continue to remain cancelled till March–April 2026, while 16 others will remain short-terminated and short-originated during the same period.
“The disruption has been necessitated by ongoing repair and restoration works on some critical bridges—particularly Bridge No. 17 between Kathua and Madhopur—as well as due to Excess Engineering Restrictions,” Singhal told Excelsior.
Northern Railway Headquarters has issued a formal order in this regard, following recommendations submitted by the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM), Jammu.
