NEW DELHI: Sonia Gandhi,Congress parliamentary party chief, on Wednesday reiterated her party’s support for the women’s reservation bill and called for its swift passage, along with the inclusion of a provision for the representation of SCs, STs, and OBCs. In the Lok Sabha, Gandhi opened the discussion by stating, “I stand here in support of Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam.” Any delay in putting the women’s reservation law into effect, according to her, will be a grave injustice to Indian women. Gandhi argued that the women’s reservation bill should be put into effect as soon as feasible by removing all barriers.
