Certain Elements In UT Acting At The Behest Of Pakistan To Disrupt Peace : BJP

SRINAGAR, Feb 5: BJP Jammu and Kashmir President Sat Sharma on Wednesday said that certain elements in Union Territory were acting at the behest of Pakistan and attempting to disrupt peace in the region.Sharma was talking to reporters in Srinagar after he along with Leader of Opposition (LOP) in J&K Assembly, Sunil Sharma; former BJP J&K president Ravinder Raina visited the Army’s 92 Base hospital at Badami Bagh to see the condition of two women injured in a recent terror attack in Kulgam, in which an ex-soldier was killed.
The BJP leaders later traveled to Bihibagh, Kulgam and met the family of the deceased soldier.
The BJP J&K President strongly condemned the attack and said that certain elements in Jammu and Kashmir, acting at the behest of Pakistan, are attempting to disrupt peace in the region.
“His martyrdom will not go in vain. Those who committed this heinous crime will pay a heavy price for it,” he added.
Sunil Sharma blamed the National Conference (NC) for the present situation in J&K.
“The National Conference itself is involved in such an atmosphere. Right from 1931 to the exodus of 1989 till today, they are responsible for all this,” he said.
On Monday, an ex-serviceman Manzoor Ahmad Wagay, who had retired in 2021, and his wife and niece were shot at by unidentified gunmen Kulgam. The three were shifted to hospital where Wagay succumbed to his injuries.
