JAMMU: In order to assess the status of the district’s Pradhan Mantri Gramme Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) road projects, District Magistrate Sachin Kumar Vaishya called a meeting today. The District Magistrate stressed the need of following established timelines while setting project-specific deadlines for the construction of the roads during the discussion. In addition, he gave the Sub Divisional Magistrates charge of the thorough oversight of these road developments. The SDMs were instructed to take a firm stance and hasten project completion while following by all relevant laws and regulations.The DM emphasised the need of conquering any challenges that may come up while staying within the parameters of these rules and regulations. He stressed the need for rapid resolution of valid issues as well as the need to prevent the general population from suffering unnecessarily throughout these initiatives. The District Magistrate emphasised that the roads must be finished within the allotted times, excluding unforeseen or natural difficulties. He emphasised the administration’s crucial function in enacting governance while actively involving all stakeholders. The DFO and the meeting’s participants also discussed forest removals. The meeting went into great detail on the technical challenges that prevent some projects from being completed on time.The PMGSY executives asked the DFO to work closely with them in order to speed up the projects’ timely completion. DFO, AD Planning, Satish Sharma, Superintendent Engineers, and Executive Engineers from PMGSY were present at the meeting. Tehsildars, SDMs, and Assistant Commissioners of Revenue all participated virtually.
