“These tears have given me strength”, says Delhi’s former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s former Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader, Manish Sisodia, said on Saturday, “These tears have given me strength,” while addressing party workers at the Aam Aadmi Party office.

Sisodia was released from Tihar Jail on August 9 after the Supreme Court granted him bail in connection with the Delhi excise policy case.

He said, “… These tears have given me strength… I was hoping for justice within 7-8 months. It took 17 months, but honesty and truth have prevailed…”

Accusing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of failing to uphold integrity in the states they govern, Sisodia remarked, “…This web of ED and CBI was not created because Kejriwal’s name became a symbol of honesty across the country. The BJP, which claims to be the largest party in the world, has not been able to demonstrate honest governance in a single state they control. ‘Bhrastachar ka ek hi kaal, Kejriwal, Kejriwal’…”

Earlier today, Manish Sisodia, accompanied by AAP leaders, visited Raj Ghat in the national capital. This visit followed his arrival at Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place on Saturday morning, where he offered prayers a day after his release from Tihar Jail.

“Lord Bajrang Bali has blessed me. Arvind Kejriwal also has the blessings of Lord Bajrang Bali, and you will see that Kejriwal ji will be blessed in the same way,” Sisodia added.
