Chief Justice leads ‘Tiranga Rally’ in Srinagar

SRINAGAR : The J&K Legal Services Authority (JKLSA), in collaboration with the District Legal Services Authority, Srinagar, organised a monumental “Tiranga Rally” to pay tribute to those who struggled and gave their lives for the future generations in a magnificent display of national pride and unity in diversity and to commemorate India’s remarkable journey of 75 years of Independence. From the Srinagar Wing of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice N. Kotiswar Singh, led the “Tiranga Rally,” which culminated at the ancient “Ghanta Ghar” at Lal Chowk.The Registrar General, Shahzad Azeem, the Principal Secretary, M.K. Sharma, the PDJ (Chairman DLSA), Jawad Ahmad, and other members of the Registry, as well as the District Judiciary, Srinagar, were in attendance with the Chief Justice. The Chief Justice recognised the bravery of those who fought to free India from colonial domination during his moving remarks at the event. He emphasised the value of sustaining justice and equality while expressing deep pleasure in the nation’s accomplishments. The commitment of the judiciary to defending each citizen’s rights was also reiterated by the Chief Justice.This rally featured a vibrant mosaic of participation from different pillars of the legal community, including judicial officers from the district of Srinagar, officers and officials from the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, officers and officials of JKLSA, officers from the prosecution department, officials and paralegal volunteers (PLVs) from DLSA, Srinagar and Budgam, bar members from the High Court of Srinagar and volunteers from the NGO White Globe. As it made its way through the city centre while carrying Tiranga, the parade was bursting with patriotic fervour and unity, filling the area with the vivid colours of the tricolour. The demonstration served as a striking reminder of the diversity, resiliency, and common ambitions of India. Along with the DLSA, Srinagar, the JKLSA also expressed its gratitude to all of the participants, supporters, and partners who helped make this historic event a great success.
