Rahul Gandhi : Does not behove Indian PM to laugh, crack jokes in Parliament when Manipur is on fire

NEW DELHI: Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, attacked Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, saying it was improper for him to joke around in Parliament while Manipur had been on fire for months. Gandhi slammed the Prime Minister for his response to the opposition’s no-confidence motion in the government in the Lok Sabha, claiming that in his almost two-hour address, Manipur received just two minutes of attention.”I spent the entire two hours that the PM was speaking yesterday laughing, joking, and ‘lagaoing naaras’ (raising slogans). The Prime Minister appears to have forgotten that Manipur has been on fire for several days, according to Gandhi. “In the middle of Parliament, the Prime Minister was giggling uncontrollably. He claimed that rather than Congress or myself, the issue was what was occurring in Manipur and why it wasn’t being stopped. Gandhi claimed that his claims that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah had “murdered Bharat Mata in Manipur” were true and not just empty platitudes. In Manipur, the BJP has “murdered Hindustan,” he declared.Gandhi claimed the Prime Minister “wants Manipur to burn and not douse the fire” He claimed that although the government wasn’t using the Army, it could restore peace in just a few days.
