PUNE: At an event hosted by the “Sarhad” Civil Society organisation today, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha spoke with Jammu and Kashmiri students in Pune. In his speech, the Lt. Governor discussed J&K’s recent transformational journey and emphasised the importance of the younger generation to the state’s social and economic development.Jammu and Kashmir is evolving and moving forward. Our students who are living and studying abroad represent New J&K as brand ambassadors. According to the Lt. Governor, today’s kids are achieving their full potential and helping to strengthen the country. The Lt. Governor emphasised the value of instilling in young people a scientific temperament, critical thinking skills, creativity, and the cultivation of their distinctive personalities for their overall growth. He was grateful for ‘Sarhad’s’ efforts in collaborating with the District Administration Bandipora to turn Aragam hamlet into a book village as well as for their other initiatives like Valley of Knowledge, Health hamlet, and Literary Floating Festival on Wular Lake.According to him, Sarhad’s “Pune for Kashmir” sociocultural and educational exchange project is improving relations between the residents of the two regions and exemplifies the actual meaning of Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat. The Lt Governor extended an invitation to the young people from Pune to travel to Jammu and Kashmir and see how the UT has changed. Aruna Dhere’s book “Lalla” about Yogini Lalleshwari was published at the occasion by the Lt. Governor. He praised the writer for her outstanding work and wished her luck in her future aspirations. The event was attended by a huge number of young people from J&K as well as Vinod Tawde, the national general secretary of the BJP, Sanjay Nahar, the founder of Sarhad, notable individuals from all walks of life, students, and members of Sarhad.
