Cars set ablaze ,Stones hurled during religious procession in Haryana’s Nuh

GURUGRAM : Police said on Monday that Stones were pelted and cars set on fire during a religious procession in Haryana‘s Nuh adjoining Gurugram on Monday.To disperse the gathering, the police fired tear gas rounds. The neighbourhood was tense, and prohibitory orders against public gatherings were enforced over the entire district. The Haryana government said that mobile internet connections had been banned until Wednesday in order to reduce the “intense communal tension”. Anil Vij, the home minister for Haryana, claimed that more forces from surrounding districts have been sent. He said, “We are also attempting to send forces by helicopter.” The Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s “Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra” was interrupted by a gang of young men, who allegedly flung rocks at the procession at Khedla Mod in Nuh. At least four of the procession’s automobiles were burned. Additionally, other police cars suffered damage. According to reports, some in the parade threw stones back at the young men who had halted them. Police could not immediately provide the amount of injuries, but they did say that some persons were hurt. BJP district president Gargi Kakkar had previously signalled the beginning of the yatra from Gurugram’s Civil Lines. Along with the parade, there was a police contingent deployed. A controversial video that a Bajrang Dal activist in Ballabhgarh allegedly shared on social media served as the catalyst for the altercation, according to some reports. Furthermore, there were allegations that Monu Manesar, a cow vigilante wanted in connection with the murders of two Muslim men in Rajasthan, would participate in the procession. Home Minister Vij claimed that he communicates frequently with senior officials. Our top priority is to stabilise the situation. We are pleading with everyone to keep the peace,” Vij said.Vij claimed that he also spoke with the additional chief secretary, the director general of police, and other top authorities.
