JAMMU: Police said that 2 persons, including a Madhya Pradesh resident, were killed after a truck crashed into the safety barriers before landing into a ditch at a road construction site along the Jammu-Pathankot NH.Around 6.30 am, a truck headed for Samba collided with a pedestrian near Kaluchak on the outskirts of Jammu City before hitting barriers placed by a construction company to protect its workers engaged in road construction, according to Station House Officer of Gangal Police Station Ajay Singh Chib. He claimed that after that, the truck plunged into a gully, killing its Udhampur native driver Kuldeep Singh. According to the officer, the pedestrian who died has been named as Ajay Chohan, a resident of Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur. He claimed that police have opened an inquiry and registered a case.
