KULGAM, FEBRUARY 19: In order to review the preparations for the upcoming Aharbal Winter Carnival, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Athar Aamir Khan today chaired a meeting of Officers at the mini-secretariat, here.
The event, slated for a two-day extravaganza, is aimed at promoting the picturesqueness of Aharbal and boost tourism in the region.
Various aspects of the carnival, including cultural programmes, transportation, trekking, snow games, and the installation of stalls, etc were meticulously discussed during the meeting.
The DC emphasized the need for fool-proof arrangements to ensure the success and attractiveness of the event.
He instructed officers to ensure that all arrangements are put in place well in advance for seamless and enjoyable experience for all participants and attendees during the festival, as the carnival is expected to draw visitors from far and wide, making it a significant event for the cultural and tourism landscape of Kulgam.
