SRINAGAR: Official sources said on Wednesday, 2 forest department employees were fired at by unknown gunmen in the Pulwama district.
While on nighttime patrol, the two workers, Jahangir Ahmad Chechi and Imran Yousuf, reported seeing suspicious activity in the Sonabanjar woodland region close to Bagandar Bridge.
The staff were shot at by the unknown assailants as they approached to conduct an inspection, according to government sources.
Both injured people were sent to a nearby hospital. They added that more information was awaited and that Yusuf was later taken in serious condition to S M H S Hospital in Pulwama.
