NEW DELHI: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal received a notice from Delhi Police Crime Branch officers on Saturday over the Aam Aadmi Party’s accusation against Bharatiya Janata Party “of trying to buy AAP MLAs.” The notification requested a response from the AAP leader within three days, according to sources. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s Delhi home was visited by a group of Delhi Police Crime Branch officers. In addition, police officers arrived on Friday to serve notice in relation to the Aam Aadmi Party‘s accusation against the BJP for allegedly “trying to buy AAP MLAs” and to get proof from him. In addition to Kejriwal, the police officers had earlier on Friday knocked on the doors of AAP minister Atishi’s home in search of proof. But according to sources, neither of the AAP leaders was at their respective homes. The Aam Aadmi Party has charged that the BJP is attempting to overthrow the elected government in Delhi by launching a campaign known as “Operation Lotus 2.0″. According to Atishi, the BJP has threatened and offered payments to a number of AAP MLAs in an effort to force them to switch. “The BJP launched ‘Operation Lotus 2.0′ in an attempt to overthrow Delhi’s democratically elected AAP government. The BJP has called seven AAP MLAs, informing them that Arvind Kejriwal will be detained shortly and that the AAP MLAs will then become polarised. They intend to overthrow the Delhi administration by utilising 21 of our MLAs, with whom they are in contact. Each of those seven MLAs has been offered Rs 25 crores. The BJP used a strategy known as “Operation Lotus” to seize control of states in which they were not democratically elected. Examples are Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka, Arunachal Pradesh, and Karnataka “said the AAP leader. Atishi also disclosed that the AAP had a recording of one of these “Operation Lotus 2.0″ talks, implying that it might be made available if needed. “Currently, 7 MLAs have been offered by BJP; we have the recording of one of them and will release it when required,” Atishi stated. The BJP, meanwhile, has denied the AAP’s allegation of Operation Lotus 2.0. “Like the previous seven occasions, Arvind Kejriwal is lying once more.Never once has it been possible to determine who called them, what phone number was used, or where the meeting took place. He simply makes declarations before disappearing. BJP leader Kapil Mishra stated, “His partners are in jail, and he is consistently avoiding ED summons because he knows he does not have answers to the ED questions.” The AAP won 62 of the 70 seats up for grabs in the Delhi Assembly. Only eight seats were won by the BJP, while all other parties—including the Congress—were left empty-handed.
