Srinagar, July 12 : Police said on Wednesday, Security forces arrested five militant associates in Budgam district.They said that the five had ties to Lashakr-e-Taiba. They were taken into custody in Budgam‘s Khag neighbourhood by a joint police and Army force from the 62 Rashtriya Rifles.
Rouf Ahmad Wani, Hilal Ahmad Malik, Tawfeeq Ahmad Dar, Danish Ahmad Dar, and Showkat Ali Dar—all residents of different villages in Khag—were the five people that the police recognised.Materials used in their defence have been found in their possession. According to a police official, all of the confiscated materials have been added to the case files for additional investigation.
According to the police, a case has been filed at Police Station Khag under the appropriate legal provisions, and an investigation has begun.
