POONCH: 4 Pakistan-sponsored terrorists were killed by security forces in a joint operation in the Sindhara area of Poonch district today.On Monday, about 11:30 p.m, security personnel and terrorists first came into contact. Drones and other nighttime monitoring tools were then deployed. The shootout resumed early in the morning with a frenzied exchange of fire between security personnel and terrorists. The location of where the members of an SF unit had just lost their lives was not far from where the confrontation began.Security personnel made their initial encounter with the terrorists on Monday afternoon. Additional forces were quickly dispatched to block off the area as these terrorists were contained in a small area. The operation included men from the Rashtriya Rifles, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and Special Forces of the Indian Army. Officials from the Indian Army stated that “the terrorists killed in the operation are most likely foreign terrorists and their identities are being ascertained.”The area was still the focus of a search operation by security forces. The latest shooting occurred after the Indian Army and police stopped an attempted infiltration at the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch on Monday, killing two terrorists.
