KISHTWAR: On a road in the Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir, a two-kg improvised explosive device (IED) was discovered planted by suspected terrorists on Monday night, according to officials. The experts then defused the IED, preventing a potential terror attack in the hill district, according to the officials. They claimed that an IED that had been planted on the side of the Kishtwar-Batote national highway was discovered by an Army and Police patrol party working together. According to the officials, a bomb disposal squad was called in and the highway’s traffic was immediately stopped. The explosive material was later safely defused. They said that after filing a case, a search was initiated to find the terrorists who planted the IED.
