UDHAMPUR: According to police, a kutcha house collapsed in ward number one of Pattangarh Panchayat of Udhampur District in Jammu and Kashmir, leaving one person dead and another injured. The incident was verified by Udhampur ASP Anwar Ul Haq, who stated, “One person has been confirmed dead and another is injured.” He added that after learning about the incident, a police squad raced to the scene and removed the injured person from the rubble. For medical attention, the injured party has been moved to Chenani’s Community Health Centre. According to ASP Anwar Ul Haq, more research is being done to determine what caused the house to collapse.In the state of Jammu and Kashmir, deaths from houses collapsing are not uncommon.
