NEW DELHI: General Manoj Pande, the head of the Indian Army, said on Friday that India’s position on the continuing crisis between Russia and Ukraine is an excellent illustration of how the country has acted firmly and unambiguously in support of legitimate national interests. The Indian Army Chief stated that our foreign policy and diplomacy are currently playing a critical role in his remarks to the 118th annual session of the PHD Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PHDCCI) at Vigyan Bhawan in this city. Many countries now also seem prepared to confront our Northern opponent on a variety of problems, he continued. He continued by saying that our efforts are being made towards Aatma Nirbhar Bharat. Trials and planning for research and development are ongoing. The Agnipath programme, according to the Army chief, is a ground-breaking project, and in four years, Agniveers will be empowered.
