SRINAGAR:Former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah declared on Tuesday that the world has demonstrated that Russia and Israel are subject to separate laws, in the midst of the conflict between Israel and Hamas in Gaza. The vice president of the National Conference (NC) remarked that innocent people are dying in Gaza bombardment while addressing the media reporters present on the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas. We have been against what is taking place in Gaza since the very beginning. Bombs in Gaza are killing innocent people… The world has seen that Israel and Russia are subject to distinct laws,” Abdullah remarked.Speaking to the media, he posed questions to the world community, saying, “If what Russia did to Ukraine was a war crime, then what Israel is doing to Gaza is not wrong? It is impossible for both to be true. The world must now determine what is right.” said Abdullah. Since October 7, Israeli attacks on Gaza have resulted in the deaths of at least 5,087 Palestinians. The majority of well-known political groups in Jammu and Kashmir, such as the NC and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), have denounced the conflict and demanded the establishment of peace. Mehbooba Mufti, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party, expressed her disapproval of Israel on October 21 in response to the West Asian country’s conflict with Hamas. Mehbooba Mufti and other demonstrators chanted “Israel go back” throughout the demonstration. In Palestine, 1,500 children have died. In Palestine, thousands of innocent people have perished. The entire globe is a spectator. When children were slain in Ukraine during their conflict with Russia, the world erupted in protest. Thousands of people have been slaughtered in Palestine recently, yet nobody is discussing it. We implore all countries to exert pressure on Israel to implement a cease-fire. In Palestine, atrocities are being committed. Israel is harming Palestinians with actions reminiscent of the Holocaust. In the long run, this can make things worse. Mehbooba Mufti declared, “Israelis have to evacuate Palestine.She had earlier declared that the dispute had nothing to do with Muslims and expressed her hope that the world community would wake up and find a solution. It is not a Muslim issue, Israel-Palestine…To stop bloodshed every day, I hope the world community wakes up and finds a lasting solution to this problem. We denounce Hamas’s attack,” she had declared.
