NEW DELHI: Following the fourth round of negotiations, Punjab Kisan Mazdoor Sangharsh Committee General Secretary Sarvan Singh Pandher declared that farmers will proceed with the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 21 and that the government’s proposal on MSP will also be discussed. “In the coming two days, we will be debating the government’s proposed…The government will discuss the remaining demands as well.Following the completion of Monday’s meeting between protesting farmer groups and Union Ministers in Chandigarh, Pandher told the media, “If there is no result, we will carry on with the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 21.” He went on to say that efforts would be made by the government and farmers’ unions to resolve the problems. “We’ll talk about the government’s idea and get feedback on it.The choice will be made by this morning, this evening, or the following day.The ministers stated that upon their return to Delhi, they will hold talks over the remaining issues.Talks are slated for February 19–20, and the outcome will determine whether or not to hold the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march on February 21.We will work together—the government and the farmers’ union—to find a solution to the problems,” he continued. Leader of the Farmers, Jagjit Singh Dallewal, stated that two government agencies will oversee and administer the plan that the government has provided.
