LUCKNOW: In light of the state board exams for Classes 10 and 12, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has chosen to shorten the length of his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh, the party announced on Monday. “As a sensitive role model, Rahul Gandhi ji has prioritised the public interest on numerous occasions. The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra will stay in Uttar Pradesh from February 16 to February 21 in consideration of the UP Board exams beginning on February 22 “A statement from state Congress spokesperson Anshu Awasthi was released here. Originally, the yatra was supposed to stay in Uttar Pradesh till February 26.“Earlier, Rahul Gandhi had cancelled his rallies in Bengal out of concern for the people during the COVID-19 period,” stated a spokeswoman. Awasthi provided some details about the itinerary for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra in Uttar Pradesh, stating that it will arrive in the state on February 16 via Varanasi and depart from there on February 19 via Bhadohi, Prayagraj, and Pratapgarh. Gandhi would speak at a public gathering in Gauriganj, the Lok Sabha constituency of Amethi, on February 19. The yatra will arrive at Rae Bareli the following day, from whence it will head towards Lucknow, with marchers, including Gandhi, perhaps stopping for the night there, he added.According to the spokesperson, on February 21, the yatra would arrive in Unnao from Lucknow. It will pass through Shuklaganj and Unnao city to reach Kanpur. It would then travel through Kanpur and Hamirpur to reach Jhansi, where it will arrive the same day in Madhya Pradesh.
