POONCH: 3 key conduits, involved in Rs 150 crore narcotics recovery case in J&K’s Sunderbani area, were arrested by security forces in the Poonch border district on Friday, officials said.The two were involved in an interstate drug trafficking ring that was uncovered by security personnel on June 1. According to them, two of its members were detained here carrying 22 kg of drugs worth over Rs 150 crore on the black market. Multiple combined operations have been carried out by the Indian Army and police in Poonch district over the past 72 hours as part of the follow-up operations to the Sunderbani drugs recovery case, according to a Public Relations Officer (PRO) Defence.Three key conduits and members of the cross-border narco-terror cell were captured during the operation, according to PRO. Shakar Din of Degwar Terwan Village, Rashid, and Shafir, both residents of Kalas Village in the area of Poonch, have been named as the apprehended conduits, the official said. According to him, warlike supplies from their possession, including two grenades, have also been found during search operations. PRO reported that intensive cooperative search efforts are currently under way. The detention of these three people, according to him, is a significant blow to the intricate cross-border narco-terror network being run out of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir.
