Jammu, August 15, 2024: The Asian School – Jammu celebrated India’s 78th Independence Day with great fervor and enthusiasm. The students, teachers and staff came together to commemorate the country’s freedom and sovereignty. The theme was Ek Bharat Shrestra Bharat for this celebration & accordingly all the acts were designed.
The celebration started with the lamp lighting ceremony by Chief Guests; Ms. Neelam Gupta (Secretary – New Gandhi Memorial Educational Society & Ms. Ashima Gupta – Vice Chairperson of The Asian School – Jammu, after felicitation of guests by Principal of school, program continued with a plethora of cultural performances, including patriotic songs, dances, and skits. The students showcased their talent and creativity, leaving the audience spellbound.
The chief guest of the program Ms. Neelam Gupta, Secretary – New Gandhi Memorial Educational Society, presented a wonderful speech for students & she explained; how difficult it was to take the freedom from Britishers, for our freedom fighters.
The School Principal, emphasized the importance of freedom and the role of youth in nation-building. He urged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute to the country’s progress.
The atmosphere was filled with joy and patriotism, as the students celebrated the country’s independence with zeal and enthusiasm.
