SRINAGAR: A Punjabi worker who was hurt in the terror assault in the city’s Habba Kadal neighbourhood passed away at a local hospital on Thursday, bringing the total number of victims in the attack to two. At the SKIMS Hospital here this morning, Rohit Masih passed away from his wounds. His health at the SMHS Hospital grew worse, and late on Wednesday night, according to the officials, he was sent to the tertiary care facility. On Wednesday, Amritpal Singh, a worker from Punjab, too perished in the terrorist shooting at Shalla Kadal near Habba Kadal. It was the year’s first intentional killing. In 2023, there were three attacks by the terrorists on non-local workers, which left two people dead and three injured.While Mukesh Kumar, a brick kiln worker from Bihar, was shot and killed by ultras on October 31, 2018, in Pulwama district, a circus worker from Udhampur district was killed by terrorists on May 30, 2023, in Anantnag district. On July 13, terrorists attacked three labourers in the Gagren region of the Shopian district, injuring them.
