Srinagar, Sept 9: In the Baramulla district of Jammu and Kashmir, a teacher who is suspected of sending sexual text messages to his female students has been suspended.
Owais Nanda, a teacher at Government Higher Secondary School Shutloo Rafiabad, was placed on administrative leave by Chief Education Officer Baramulla Balbeer Singh following a complaint.
Owais Ahmed Nanda, a teacher currently working at HSS Shutloo, is consequently suspended with immediate effect pending an investigation into the incident. According to the order given by CEO Baramulla on August 31, “the said official shall remain attached in the office of the principal of BHSS (Boys Higher Secondary School) Sopore during the period of suspension.”
Following the discovery of the incident, the neighbourhood protested on Friday and requested that the instructor accused of the incident face harsh punishment.
To look into the situation, a committee headed by the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC), Baramulla, has been formed.
According to the complaint, according to officials, the teacher had “lewd text messages” with students. (Agencies)
