JAMMU, Aug 22: While the local authorities had diverted traffic to the Niali Majjakote region, the suspicious device was discovered laying alongside the highway in Rajouri.
Due to the discovery of what is believed to be suspicious material close to the highway at Niali Manjakote, authorities have diverted traffic on a seven-kilometer section of the national highway connecting Jammu, Rajouri, and Poonch.
Security authorities allegedly developed a suspicion that some suspicious substance was present near a roadway at Niali in the Manjakote neighbourhood of Rajouri, according to officials.
They claimed that because to this, traffic on this section of the highway has been redirected onto a link road, and almost seven kilometres of the highway have been closed.
According to the officials, bomb disposal teams from the army and police have been brought in as well as technological specialists.
