SRINAGAR: Temperatures plummeted further in Kashmir valley on Friday with Srinagar recording minus 4.1 degree Celsius, coldest in the season so far. The weather department has predicted a dry weather till Dec 14 in the plains, and light rains and snow on the upper reaches. Shopian in south Kashmir recorded the mimimum temperature of minus 6.6 degree Celsius. The ski resorts of Pahalgam and Gulmarg recorded the minimum temperatures of minus 6.5 degree Celsius and minus 4.3 degree Celsius, respectively. Qazigund, the gateway town to Kashmir, recorded a low of minus 4.4 degree Celsius while Kupwara in frontier north Kashmir district recorded minus 3.4 degree Celsius. Kokernag, a popular picnic spot in south Kashmir, experienced minus 2.4 degree Celsius.
