SRINAGAR, Aug 19 : In connection with a case involving terrorism, the Special Investigation Unit (SIU) of the Jammu and Kashmir Police conducted a raid in the Pulwama district on Saturday, according to officials.
According to a police spokesperson, the raid was carried out at Sheikh Sayurl Nisar’s home in Wopalwan Awantipora, south Kashmir, to gather additional proof of his involvement in crimes related to terrorism.
The SIU “seized incriminating material during the search, including bank passbooks, Jihad-related books, and other materials,” the official said.
