NEW DELHI: On Sunday ,the protesting wrestlers who were trying to march towards the new Parliament from their site of protest at Jantar Mantar were stopped and detained by the security personnel in Delhi.
To convene a women’s Maha Panchayat there, the wrestlers are aiming to march in the direction of the new Parliament.
Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) president Brij Bhushan is seated in the parliament, but we are not permitted to enter, stated Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat after the detention of the competitors.
Vinesh Phogat said, “We are being sent to jail, and he (Brij Bhushan) is sitting in parliament. We are not permitted to enter while our family members are being held captive.”
