KATHUA: In the Jammu and Kashmir region of Kathua, several political and social activists joined the Congress on Saturday, according to the party. It added that the newcomers, who were led by AAP leaders Robin Sharma and Vindu Bala and BJP worker Vinay Sharma, were welcomed into the party fold by Pradesh Congress Committee president Vikar Rasool Wani and other senior party leaders. Wani added that many workers from other parties and individuals are joining the party across the nation, including Jammu and Kashmir, following the “successful” execution of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership.“After the yatra, the Congress has already won Himachal Pradesh and Karnataka…In the five states that just had elections—Telangana, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Mizoram, and Chhattisgarh—the Congress party will win and grow stronger once more,” he declared. “People now realise the political tactics of the ruling party and shall not fall in the trap of the BJP which has not delivered on any single promise made to common people and unemployed youths,” the Congress leader warned party workers and the general public against the alleged “divisive tactics” of the BJP-RSS. He requested that they expose the “falsehood and failures” of the BJP by reaching out to the local population in their various districts. We have protested in the streets against the poor quality of governance, the lack of progress, and the government’s inability to fulfil its commitments to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, Wani stated.
