New Delhi, Sep 11: Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated on Monday during his discussions with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud that the strategic cooperation between India and Saudi Arabia is essential for the prosperity and stability of the region as well as the world. Modi called Saudi Arabia one of India’s most significant strategic allies and said both nations are expanding their cooperation to keep up with the times. Modi and Bin Salman reviewed their bilateral ties at the Strategic Partnership Council between Saudi Arabia and India’s inaugural meeting.In his opening remarks during the meeting, the prime minister stated that various steps have been identified to “take our close partnership to next level.” Our partnership will take on a new direction and vigour as a result of today’s interaction.
To further advance cooperation in important areas, the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council was unveiled in 2019.
Following the conclusion of the G20 Summit, Bin Salman is currently in India on a State visit.
The Crown Prince was given a formal greeting at the Rashtrapati Bhavan’s forecourt before to the talks.”I’m thrilled to be in India. Following the formal welcome, Bin Salman said to media, “I want to congratulate India for the G20 Summit.
The Saudi leader claimed that the globe will profit from the summit’s announcements. “We will work together to create a great future for both countries,” he declared.
One of India’s most important Middle Eastern strategic allies is Saudi Arabia.
Over the past few years, there has been a noticeable increasing trend in the two countries’ overall relations.The focus of the two parties has also been on improving their defence and security cooperation.
In December 2020, the then-Chief of Army Staff Gen. MM Naravane travelled to Saudi Arabia for the first time as the leader of the 1.3 million-strong Army.
High-ranking military personnel have visited both sides on a number of occasions since then.
