SAMBA: On Thursday, District Samba Police announced that it had filed a charge sheet in a court of law against four “interstate heroin smugglers” with their base in Punjab who were involved in the firing incident at Rangoor Camp, Ramgarh, and the smuggling of heroin. The police were seeking a judicial determination.. Sharing details senior superintendent of police (SSP) Samba Benam Tosh said, “The accused namely as Satinderpal Singh son of Daljinder Singh of Rattoke, Gurudwara Bhikh Wind, Taran Taran Punjab; Jagpreet Singh son of Darwara Singh of Madipur Patti-Taran Taran Punjab; Sunny alias Baba son of Surjeet Singh of Guru Nanakpura, Amritsar, Punjab and Neeraj Jaiswal alias Romi son of Pawan Singh Jaiswal of Kahandwala Vikas Nagar Amritsar Punjab were booked in a case vide FIR No.31/2023 u/s various section including 307, Arms Act, and NDPS Act at Police Station Ramgarh.” “A Special Investigation Team (SIT) headed by additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary with DySP PC Samba Garu Ram Bhardwaj, SDPO Vijaypur Rohit Kumar, SHO Police Station Ramgarh Amit Kumar and Inspr Sham Lal as members was constituted to probe the matter.
