JAMMU: Avny Lavasa was replaced as the deputy commissioner for Jammu by Sachin Kumar Vaishy. At a ceremony attended by officers and employees of the DC office and Revenue Department, including Additional District Development Commissioner Ramesh Chander, Additional Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, Additional Commissioner General, and Assistant Commissioner Revenue, the departing Deputy Commissioner received a heartfelt farewell. Avny Lavasa spoke at the event and discussed the difficulties she faced and the lessons she had to learn while serving as the DC for Jammu.She stated that Jammu contributes significantly to the Union Territory’s revenue creation and serves as the hub for crucial operations there. The district also receives its fair share of complaints, which necessitate collaboration and effort for efficient administration, she continued. Avny Lavasa expressed her sincere gratitude for the district’s committed officers and employees, underlining their tireless efforts in managing a heavy workload. She expressed her sincere appreciation to her personal crew, which also included drivers and security professionals, for their steadfast assistance throughout her tenure. Avny Lavasa greeted Sachin Vaishy, her successor, with open arms and expressed her confidence in his ability to govern.The new DC, Sachin Vaishya, responded by pledging to expand on the principles established by his predecessor. “We will work together, following in the footsteps of the former administrator to address the challenges and harness the strengths of Jammu for its collective betterment,” he declared.
