KATRA, Dec 30 : Today, Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology, Personnel, Public Grievances, Pensions, Atomic Energy, and Space, witnessed the launching of the second Vande Bharat Express, which will link New Delhi and the sacred city of Katra. According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, Katra is now one of the first few cities in the nation to have two Vande Bharat Express trains. The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express departed from Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, this morning, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi essentially waving the flag. Arriving at the event from Katra railway station was Dr Jitendra Singh.According to Dr Jitendra Singh, rail projects in Jammu and Kashmir are currently underway at a cost of over Rs 41,000 crore, setting a record in and of itself because no other State or Union Territory in the nation has achieved the same feat. Similarly, the Union Budget has set aside over Rs 6,000 crore for the development of the rail industry in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking at the event, Dr. Jitendra Singh stated that since taking office, the Prime Minister has given this region’s development extra attention and focus. He claimed that shortly after taking office as prime minister, Modi officially opened the 2013-completed Katra Railway Station. However, the Prime Minister was required to officially open it, indicating that Modi holds a particular place in his heart for the holy city. According to Dr. Jitendra Singh, the Prime Minister had promised that under his administration, connectivity would be provided to the unconnected regions of the nation in order to promote national development. He said that the prime minister accelerated the pace of development projects.The Vande Bharat Express’s launch today, according to Dr. Jitendra Singh, is the Prime Minister’s New Year’s gift to the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly Katra. He claimed that Prime Minister Modi alone had addressed the shortcomings of the previous 50 years. The Minister emphasised that this is evidence of his dedication to the advancement of Jammu and Kashmir. According to him, the way the rail network in J&K has been established will serve as evidence of the Union Territory’s evolving character.A record two crore tourists visiting the Valley and over a crore pilgrims paying their respects at the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine, according to Dr. Jitendra Singh, is an example of that connectivity, the minister emphasised. According to Dr. Singh, the government has reached the very end of the queue and is providing people with utilities, power and healthcare. According to the Minister, J&K will play a crucial role in an advanced India by 2047.
