RPF jawan kills four people on a train between Jaipur and Mumbai, arrested

MUMBAI : A RPF jawan on Monday shot four persons dead on board a train in Maharashtra.Near the Palghar railway station, about 100 kilometres from Mumbai, the incident took place. The jawan was taken into custody. Constable Chetan Kumar, another RPF member, opened fire with his automatic rifle, killing ASI Tika Ram. The police said that after shooting Ram, Kumar first held passengers at gunpoint. Later, he also killed three other civilians by shooting them. Police said that after setting off the alarm chain and landing close to Dahisar, Kumar attempted to leave. They further stated that the RPF had detained him in Bhayandar. The injured have been transported to Shatabdi Hospital after the train, which was travelling from Jaipur to Mumbai, arrived at Borivali station. Senior officials are travelling to the location.
