JAMMU: Today, M A Stadium Jammu hosted the full dress rehearsal for the Republic Day 2024 event at the UT level. Men’s and women’s contingents from the Army, BSF, CRPF, JKP, JKAP, SSB, NCC cadets, former service members, Bharat Scouts & Guides, and schoolchildren participated in the parade. The Army, JKAP, and BSF pipe and brass bands performed music throughout the march past. Ramesh Kumar, Divisional Commissioner for Jammu, observed the Parade and saluted during the magnificent March Past. The J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages’ schoolchildren and artists produced a vibrant cultural programme with theme-based presentations. The Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Dare Devils enthralled the crowd with their amazing and exhilarating acts.Athletes and sportspeople from the J&K Sport Council also performed acrobatics and displayed several sports. Along with patriotic songs, folk music, and dance, the cultural objects displayed included national integration, unity in diversity, harmony, and the composite culture of Jammu Kashmir, UT. Government activities were also highlighted. Tableaux on the subjects of PM SHRI, Aajeevika se Atma Nirbharta, Har Ghar Nal Se Jal, Khelo India, Vimalam Gramam-Swachhata aur Vikas ka Sankalp, and Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra showcased the government’s accomplishments and initiatives. Nodal cops, the In Charge, and senior UT administration personnel were also present.
