JAMMU: Senior BJP leader Devender Singh Rana said today that the people of the UT of J&K are experiencing a noticeable transition on socio-economic and development fronts and that there will be no compromise on Jammu’s unique ambitions. Rana discussed the sense of empowerment being felt by the people of the Jammu region following political developments of August 5, 2019, irrespective of religion and caste, who had endured a protracted period of humiliation and discrimination as a result of the poor governance of the elite political class, during the weekly public hearing at the BJP headquarters in Trikuta Nagar here. There is no question of compromising Jammu’s interests because the BJP is dedicated to satiating the desires and aspirations of the residents of this region, according to Rana, who also added that the interest of Jammu would always remain equally sacred to other regions of the Union Territory. He went into great depth on the regional development efforts and predicted that Jammu would surpass all other northern Indian cities in development within the next five years. He also mentioned the development of infrastructure, particularly the fast-track IIT, IIM, and AIIMs.Rana made reference to the new dawn of peace and normalcy in Kashmir and claimed that this has cast a shadow of wilderness over the political endeavours of the PDP, Congress, and National Conference, which have done nothing but cause suffering to the people of Jammu and Kashmir for the past more than seven decades. They consistently engaged in obstructionist politics and profited from the worship of violence. These elite political organisations now find themselves irrelevant in J&K politics since the dream of the people in the Union Territory has come true in terms of significant transformation, extensive development, political and economic empowerment, and the cessation of the hartal and stone-throwing cultures, he continued.According to Devender Rana, the people of Jammu and Kashmir desired an end to the stereotypical political management that had up to this point only served the interests of the elite political class and the chosen few. This is now taking place. Democracy depends on change, and this country’s citizens agree that authority should be decentralised so they may control their socioeconomic future. He reaffirmed the BJP’s commitment to providing equal access to opportunities for growth and development, as well as an equal voice in decision-making, for all regions and sub-regions, which is now abundantly clear. He stated, “This has become possible post-repeal of Article 370,” referring to the rights granted to the POJK displaced population, Valmikis, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, as well as other societal groups. He claimed that the emphasis on various utility services is giving the development landscape in the Jammu region a significant boost. Regarding India’s rising stature in the world, Rana said that everyone is watching Prime Minister Narendra Modi closely as he leads the nation to an unparalleled economic renaissance in the face of enormous hurdles following the epidemic era. He also mentioned the tireless efforts being made to rescue Jammu and Kashmir from the three-decade quagmire brought on by terrorism that was supported by international governments.While the country’s rising worldwide prominence attests to the Prime Minister’s statesmanship, Devender Rana remarked that the announcement of peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir demonstrates his sincerity of purpose and decisiveness in action.
