AMRITSAR: On Tuesday, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi paid second visit to the Golden Temple and provided “sewa” at the “langar” (community kitchen). Gandhi provided “sewa” (volunteer service) by peeling vegetables and then washed utensils after arriving at the “langar” hall. The previous head of the Congress offered “langar” to the incoming worshippers while wearing blue scarf on his head. Later, he sat on the floor and consumed “langar”. He stayed at the neighbourhood kitchen the majority of the time. Gandhi arrived in Amritsar on Monday and immediately went to the Golden Temple.He had done “sewa” by giving water to followers and wiping down their bowls. He had listened to the spiritual songs, or “Shabad Kirtan”. The Congressman had additionally participated in the customary “palki seva” ritual, which is the transfer of the Guru Granth Sahib to the Akal Takht for “Sukhasan” during the ceremony’s closing ceremonies. Gandhi is paying personal visit to the Golden Temple, according to Punjab Congress head Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, who made the claim on Monday.
