Dhanbad, Feb 4: On February 4, the third day of his yatra through Jharkhand, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s “Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra” began from Dhanbad. The yatra resumed at Govindpur in Dhanbad city on Sunday following a nightly stop in the district’s Tundi block on Saturday. Congress lawmaker Jairam Ramesh declared, “We are in Dhanbad today and we are heading to Bokaro.” Bokaro, he continued, is a steel city. “Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the former prime minister, constructed these monuments. Ramesh stated, “When people ask what we accomplished in 70 years, they should look at Bhilai, Rourkela, Durgapur, Bhakra Nangal, Bokaro, Dhanbad, Barauni, and Sindri. These are all symbols of India’s economic growth.”Vice-president of the Jharkhand Congress, Brajendra Prasad Singh, stated that the yatra, which began at Govindpur, will travel via Saraidhela, the IIT-ISM gate, Randhir Verma Chowk, Shramik Chowk outside the railway station, and finally arrive at Bank More, where he will give a speech to the people. It will thereafter head in the direction of Bokaro Steel City. Around 2:00 pm, the yatra will resume from Jena More following the launch break in Bokaro. Gandhi is expected to make his nightly stop in the Ramgarh district on Sunday. Over the course of eight days and two phases, the yatra will span 804 km and 13 districts in the State. It will cover a total distance of 6,713 km in 67 days, stopping in 110 districts across 15 states before arriving in Mumbai on March 20.
