KERALA: Rahul Gandhi, the head of the Congress, stated on Wednesday that certain politicians are “too smart” to hide their genuine wealth from the public eye and hence cannot be assessed by their modesty or less expensive watches. At the book presentation here for the late Muslim League leader P Seethi Haji, Gandhi stated that one can tell a lot about a politician’s actual character by looking at their offspring. You are aware that the politicians I encounter are intelligent individuals. Politicians of today will only display the things that they deem appropriate.There are occasions when individuals come to see me with worn shoes, basic attire, and no fancy watches. They drive enormous BMWs when you visit their houses. These men are too intelligent. They are aware of your search,” declared Gandhi. Politicians, he claimed, might conceal elements of their personalities with clothes and accessories, but “the truth cannot be hidden when it comes to their children.” He claimed that as a result, he had to devise a new technique to swiftly and correctly assess these people. The former head of Congress claimed to have spent almost eighteen years in the political arena, engaging with various types of politicians, before developing this “bulletproof” method of assessing or rating people. “It took me eighteen years to discover a foolproof method that would make it hard for anyone to conceal the truth about who they really are. I request that they give their kids to me. “The truth cannot be concealed from the children,” declared Gandhi following the publication of the book “Speeches of Late P Seethi Haji in the Kerala Legislative Assembly.” Haji led the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) and served as the 9th Kerala Legislative Assembly’s main whip for the administration. Although Gandhi had never met Haji, he claimed that he could tell a lot about the late IUML leader’s character just by glancing at his son, P K Basheer. “This is what I’m saying since Basheer bears his father’s stamp. So, just by looking at him, I can identify his father. Nothing is concealable,” he declared. Gandhi stated that he observed Basheer to be both personable and approachable during the 2019 local elections. The Wayanad Congress MP also stated in his address that a person “cannot be a leader” if they lack humility and the ability to look inward. He claimed that by listening to the other leaders at the event speak, he was able to comprehend that Haji was a self-reflective individual who could laugh at himself and not take himself too seriously.
