BARAMULLA: In the Baramulla district of North Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Police reported on Friday that they had detained two drug dealers, among them a police officer, and found contraband in their possession. According to a police official, officers detained drug dealers in Boniyar Baramulla and seized illegal substances from their possession. “A police party of Police Station Boniyar headed by SHO PS Boniyar under the supervision of SDPO Uri at a checkpoint established at Boniyar Baramulla intercepted two persons identified as Sajad Hussain Qureshi (Policeman) son of Nazir Ahmad Qureshi resident of Bandi Uri & Nadeem Ahmad Awan son of Mohd Hussain resident of Gingal Uri,” the official stated. The spokesman claimed that 48 grammes of the illegal drug Herion were found in their hands during the search.As a result, a case has been lodged at Police Station Boniyar under the pertinent legal provisions, and an investigation has been started.
