PM lays foundation stone of development projects in Jodhpur

RAJASTHAN: The foundation stone was laid and other development projects totaling over Rs 5,000 crore were dedicated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Additionally, PM Modi launched two new train services in Rajasthan. These included the brand-new Runicha Express train that ran between Jaisalmer and Delhi and the brand-new heritage train that ran between Marwar Junction and Kambli Ghat. The Prime Minister also presented the nation with two more train projects. These included initiatives to double the lengths of the 58 km long “Degana-Kuchaman City” rail line and the 145 km long “Degana-Rai Ka Bagh” rail line.The slew of projects the Prime Minister inagurated today include a 350 bedded ‘Trauma Centre and Critical Care Hospital Block at All India Institute of Medical Sciences in Jodhpur and seven Critical Care Blocks under Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission (PM-ABHIM) to be developed across Rajasthan. The Prime Minister also laid the foundation stone for the development of the state-of-the-art New Terminal Building at Jodhpur Airport, to be built at a total cost of Rs 480 crore. Additionally, he dedicated the Indian Institute of Technology Jodhpur campus to the nation.The cutting-edge complex was constructed for more than Rs 1,135 crore. The Prime Minister dedicated “central instrumentation laboratory,” staff housing, and “yoga sports sciences building” to improve the Central University of Rajasthan’s facilities. At the Central University of Rajasthan, he lay the cornerstone for the Central Library, 600-bed hostel, and dining hall for students. The Prime Minister formally launched number of road construction initiatives. The total cost of the road construction is expected to be around Rs 1,475 crore. The Jodhpur Ring Road will assist in reducing vehicular pollution and easing traffic congestion. At the end of this year, elections will be held in Rajasthan. In the desert state, the Bharatiya Janata Party wants to overthrow the Congress administration.
