JAN 03, 2024 : On the internet, a touching photo of an elephant and its calf getting back together is gaining popularity. The image displays a young elephant cuddling peacefully with its mother. Supriya Sahu, the state secretary for environment and forests, shared the photo on X. On December 30, 2023, the four and a half-month-old calf was taken from its herd at the Anamalai Tiger Reserve. Ever since, it has been frantically searching for its mother. Later that day, the mother and the baby calf were finally reunited.
